I ordered a face cream free of charge except for p&p. On return from holiday I discovered £89 had been removed from my Barclaycard account
without my knowledge or permission. Barclarycard tell me that I am now liable to pay £89 every month which they have cancelled at my request. I have asked the company (Naturalskin/RVTL)for a refund of the first £89 and they have agreed to pay half. I have insisted on returning the product and have obtained a RMC or Return Merchandising Code.
I wait to see the result and will post it on this site. This is a scam as any mention of a monthly subscription is well hidden if there at all. Also a very expensive product at £89. which looks to be worth £10 at most.
Is any action ever taken against these fraudulent companies? Would Trading Standards be interested in following them up.
