I was contacted by a Brianna Austin, whos's email is now no longer valid. I was told that I was approved for a $5000 loan, to western union it to a Peta Gay Lindsey in Jamaica or pay the $200 business forward. I choose the person instead of the the business charges. So I had 3 options for the collateral and I paid the $491, plus the $29.00 processing fee. I was told 4-24hrs max I would receive my funds. The next day there wasn't any money in my account & I called and left a message. A George Beeler called me back that day and said that there was the bank pulled out due to my score and that I would receive my funds by the end of the week and that he was the loan disbursal department. He gave a number, which I called only to find out it was long distance, so I used the merchantlending direct number to contact him. Well, it took him over 2days to call back with the same story and I ripped him one and that's when Mr. Beeler stopped sounding like a white man & let his Jamaican accent show. I told him I sent you my money with the understanding that my funds were already confirmed. Now your telling me that, I have to wait for what? If you don't have my money then you need to refund it. I just saw online that you have a scam alert. I want my money back. He said, Ma'am that was something completely different each case is different." I said, "I'm not giving you any more money, if you don't have the money to put in my bank by Friday, then you need to refund it." This is where his accent came out, "Ma'am, I will personally make sure you have the funds by mid-Thursday or by Friday evening at the latest." I said, Ok. On Friday, I called to confirm that my money will be in. He called back and said it would. I haven't been able to reach the "Beeler" since that day, 2weeks ago. If you call the merchant line now, it says, "The MagicJack customer you have called is unavailable to take your call." Now, I know better, that when you call someone and you can't reach them, it's a bloody scam, but if you call me at work, 98% of the time you won't reach me either, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I did also, check with a bank to see if it is normal to give collateral for a loan and yes it is.

  • I'm still waiting on my refund too. I called yesterday with the same message but today I did get through, just to be told someone will call me back. I just want my money back this whole situation is so frustrating.
