After reading about link posting, I became interested in learning how to do it. I signed up, and paid $97 "enrollment" fee, and immediately received an e-mail with my username, password, customer service number, and a bold-type consultant number to "CALL IMMEDIATELY TO GET STARTED". I went to the log-in page and tried numerous times to log-in. After multiple failed attempts, I decided to call the consultant line, in hopes that they could help. The answering service put me on hold "for a consultant". A young man soon got on the line & identified himself..as did I. I immediately told him that the reason I was calling was for log-in assistance, and he told me "oh yeah we'll get that all worked out, I just have a few questions for you". This guy proceeded to ask how much debt I had, how much balance I still had on my only credit card, my "story", as they would like to use mine as a testimonial etc...
For the next 30 minutes, he talked about "having to spend money to make money", and referring to his "company". I then, again asked him to get me logged-in, he said "we'll get that done in just a few minutes". He then had me type in the name of another site "Catalyst Coaching", I asked him what company he worked for, he said that Home Income was owned by Catalyst Coaching, as were many other sites.I asked him again about posting links, he said "thats if you're only interested in making small amounts of money",and I told him that that was where I wanted to start. I was then told that "his company" would provide me with a coach, "available 24hrs a day".
This guy then told me that they're services were valued at $4055.36, but that since my credit card didn't have enough credit left on it, that his company would finance half this amount, so that I "would only have to pay $2055.36, and pay them back at 18% interest as I made it back". I told this guy more than once that I'd "paid a fee for a link-posting course and access to the membership webpage, which I WOULD LIKE TO LOG INTO, PLEASE." I was told at this point, that "we aren't even going to log onto this page, let's get you registered". I asked him what "registration" meant, he then had me leave the Home Income log-in page, and back to Catalyst Coachings page, where he proceeded to ask for my mailing address, and credit card information! I said, are you kidding me? You think I'm going to trust you, after you just spent over an hour lying to me? He the started to yell at me, accusing me of "wasting an hour of my time!". I told him, that if he'd been honest with me in the first 5 seconds of the phone call, when I asked for help logging-in, and told me that he had no intention of doing so, that I would not have wasted the last hour of my own time...thank you very much. I then told him that I wanted my money back. He said "goodbye", and hung up.
I then called the customer service center, which turned out to be a simple call center. The girl was nice, and actually sounded like she was going to help me log-in to this thing. (which is what I paid for, and all I really wanted). She ended up shortening my password while I was on the phone with her & had me try it....no go.Tried a few more times & nothing still. Then she said to call her back in 10 minutes, if it still didn't work. All the while I was on the phone with her, I could hear another operator in that room giving another caller, the exact directions she was giving me... word-for-word.
I looked up at the clock, and it was 5 minutes till they closed.
I then asked her what steps to take, if I wanted a refund (as this site offers a"100% money back guarantee"), she said that she could offer me half of my money back now, OR I could call back in 30 days and request a full refund. I ended the call & immediately phoned my bank. This happened today.
