Global Connect Cloud (GCC) called my home phone and said that my computer had been hacked into and damaged. GCC rep told me I must purchase their services to clean up the computer remotely or my system would be shutdown. They said my IP address lease will expire and they would correct it if I allowed them to service my computer. They charged $199 for services. I was reluctant to let them clean my system and called my credit card company to stop payment and they did. GCC is a clever scam and they can really con you into anything by showing you how badly your computer is infected.
To protect me computer I have changed all of my security settings and removed all suspicious software.
GCC continues to call me and I will not answer the phone. This company needs to be thoroughly investigated and criminal charges need to be filled to stop them from scamming people with their illegal tampering of computer systems.
