I also attended a seminar for a company they called Exceeded Expectations of Key Large Fla. after they contacted my wife and I after re-
ceiving a card in the mail with a Delta airlines
logo on it. Delta has nothing to do with these people. Like the others, they promised a free vacation (airfare, 3-day, 2-night hotel stay)just for attending. After a 45-minute spiel in which they said they Ex. Expectations bought prime hotel rooms, cruise cabins and plane tickets, in bulk, at the start of the year very cheap so they could sell to their 150,000 members, they asked you to join them for $8,995. However, no literture about Exceeded Expectations was ever offered and when
I asked about their website, which I knew didn't exist because I googled it before I got there, they said it was not dotcom, but dotorg., which is a non-profit web address and even that does not exist, although there is a gay website in England with a .uk. and Exceeded Expectations. Our free giveaway cards listed Orbital Promotions as place to send in the money to get your vouchers but their website is totally bogus. It is just a page and nothing more just like their earlier incarnation, Oracle Promotions, which has the same web page.
Also, it is a free website called Weebly, which means it is hard to trace. Also, they only take
checks or money orders, not credit cards, which means people have little chance of getting their money back once it has been sent. With credit cards, the credit companies would charge them back once a complaint was filed. I also think they ask for ID at the beginning so no one unauthorized can get in (i.e. the police or reporters.)
In sum, this is a very sophisticated scam designed not to get you for the $8995., but the $120, which most people would not bother to pursue.
