Brent & I contacted Mr Justy to officiate our wedding in Seacrest Beach, Fl. Oct 8. The price should have been $225 with gas allowance. We were talking with another pastor in Mr. Justy's office, Mike Miles, as Mr. Justy was unavailable. Brent & I completely outlined our ceremony so as to have no guessing. We asked for the Lord's Supper & Mr. Miles was bringing the bread tray with crackers. We would be furnishing everything else. We had ordered butterflies for release and were having a sand unity. Everything was in place and packed....excited as you can imagine!! We continued speaking with Mr. Miles along the trip. A couple days before the wedding we were told that the price had increased!!! to $475!!!! We were told the length of the ceremony was the increase!! We agreed to pay an additional $325. Mr. Justy would not agree even to $350!!
Thankfully, our wedding went on but plans were changed. We went to the justice of the peace and were married on Oct. 7, secretly and asked a friend to stand in for a pastor. Unknown to anyone~~~~our wedding date is Oct 7...unlike our gifts and favors, and even our butterfly packages all are dated Oct 8....
I do pray this doesn't happen to another couple!!! Thank you very much for the opportunity to share with others.

- This report is defamation of character. Facts are this, as i recall, for i was not directly involved in the conversations. The couple requested over time several services not typically included in scope of services. Over time and several conversations with Mike lead me to believe that these added request were beyond the norm. He was not happy with the standard package price given the circumstances and i also did not know there was any price pre agreed upon. Otherwise i would have certainly be willing to discuss to total cost. I did not handle this couple directly and should not have my character called into question like this. I have done over 135 weddings and this is the first complaint i ever even heard of. Sorry you were not happy, but if what i recall is correct, you should not ask for services and a price then ask for additional stuff without being willing to compensate the provider.

- On the behalf of Destin Wedding Minister we are sorry to have any unhappy customers. Justy White was never personally contacted to resolve the complaint against the company and not given a chance to settle the matter. Also, no money was received from this couple. Therefore, reported damages are without warrant. We have numerous happy and satified customers. We pride ourselves on making Weddings a wonderful experience.
