A woman knocked on my dorm door and said she was selling magazines in order to earn points for a trip to Italy. I said I wasn't interested but she said that if I bought some that I could cancel the order later that night, get a refund, and she would still get the points for her trip. I sent in the receipt as it said to do in order to get the refund and 3 weeks later I got a letter saying that they would send a refund if I sent them a copy of the check certified by the bank. I paid in cash, and that was written on the receipt. They gave no number and the one that I found online was no good. The letter said that if there is no response for 30 days they will just activate the order.
