I bought an iphone from nano5sale.com. Subsequently discovered that they are registered in China when their website clearly shows that they are in UK.
I checked with my credit card company, which confirmed that the payment was made to a company in China. So they are definitely not a subsidiary of Servicecare support services Limited.

  • hi there HK,i too bought what should have been £199.00 iphone,they actually took £202.07 from my account-i have no idea how i ended up on their site. I am cross about how it happened but if the phone comes right then alls well. Right this is what i know so far- on Apple official site they state you can purchase rufurbs from £199 from various sites(this is what i also read on nano5sale.com-all good so far. There is rumours that the address in usa is a garage/lockup,thats ok as ppl here use storage places for their business goods. I phoned my bank and the payment is going to something clothing-hmmm ok........ I checked today and 99.comprocessing deals with chineses businesses hence nano5.com using chinese couriers then dhl onwards to customers-im ok with that too. Just to try and reassure you-im self employed and was approached on a freelance site by a chinese business man to contract myself to deal with english people(as im english lol) i would sell electronics on behalf of his company and earn a commission-the only reason i didnt do it was because it wasnt the right time for me. I got an LG VIEWTY last yr for £50(rrp£150.00),i dealt with someone in england but it came from hong kong-didnt know at first just like now with nano5sale.com. Basically it looks like they get native people to sell their chinese goods for a commission(maybe saves getting translaters and web designers etc)-its not ideal the way it happens i agree and is pretty scary to discover when you part with your cash and dont even get so much as an email(but it is the weekend). Anyway lets hope we get our purchases(im quietly confident!) i know i will be chuffed. Take care for now,Teena:-)

    I made the same purchase on 25/10/2011. I paid £199 for an i phone 4 16GB. I haven't received no order confirmation email. I am worried my self too. I hope it's not a rip of. Please let me know what happens keep me updated and I will too.

  • They advised I should receive the item within 7-10 days. The company that took the money out was an clothing company. They took £202.89 from my account. I still don't believe they will send the phone and certainly don't believe it would be orignal i phone

    well you got more than me,i have sent them a short sharp email,i think theyre communication is utterly rubbish and have told them so-how the heck can you track a parcel without a tracking number!! hmm
    I am sure the item will be original,it will be a return,slightly faulty repaired or previously undeliverable item-basically these can not be sold as brand new-but it wont have been used-hope you understand what ive tried to explain there. Anyway we need to just sit tight for now,when i got my lg from hong kong i remeber ordering it a weekend and i got it about 8days later -what address did you email?-catch you again soon

    I wouldnt have expected a reply if this was a scam-i now anticipate recieving my goods by the end of next week from previous experiences.....i will keep you posted when i have more news to share

  • ive filed a transaction despute form with my bank,emptied my account and have had the card cancelled. I have since read elsewhere today that the next step of this scam is usually them declaring they have sent your goods and chinese customs are holding them and that you need to send more funds to release them!!! DO NOT DO IT god would i love to get a holiday to beijing rip the head of yin ling off and shite down his or her neck. Yin Ling is the reputed owner of this scam which has been done in the past for as much as $500 and something dollars.

    As antosami says on tracking his phone, and as others including myself have received emails informing us that our phones have been sent. I have it on good authority that this is a tactic to stall until all payments have been processed.

  • I have also fallen for this god damn thing! I ordered my iphone 4 on tuesday and today £212 has gone out of my bank, i am going to phone the bank today and see what can be done. I have had no email nothing, i cant believe i actually fell for it. I'm furious seriously tamping this shit just aint right!

  • when did you order your phone George? im really cheeses of that ive had a sham of a story as to why i cant have my tracking number,i ordered on the 22/23 and the money was processed immediately,eva told me it was sent last saturday-----still waiting. On a good note i paid by visa DEBIT card and my bank have acknowledged me this morning and are investigating they will be back to me within 30 days,fingers crossed for some outcome somewhere now.

    I ordered on 20th and payment was made just like you.

    I have checked again with courier it arrived at 7.15am this morning.

    We will have to pay customs and vat £40.00 because it is import out with euro, they never explained that on site.

  • He is saying he will have to pay an extra 40 for uk postal handling services and customs costs. with most companys when i have ordered stuff from the usa. you get charged that stuff and you can contact the company an reclaim the cash back, though i dont see that happening with this company.

    I have checked with UK courier and should receive on Monday, I will let everyone know outcome.

    Regarding extra charge I checked customs and excise sight it seems to br standard practice, I will report on Monday.

    The tracking numbers are all different, if your phone is in Coventry check EMS in UK it is Parcelforce.

    Tina regarding £40 I am getting mixed messages on this one. However, IF my phone arrives I will be able to advise everyone

  • I've still had no contact with a tracking number nothing, tomorrow i'm phoning the bank to carry on with my dispute as they told me to ring today if it hadnt shown up after the promised 6 days delivery. If they are fake then the best way to check is maybe link to the pc an try to update the phones via itunes or something?

  • One of the 2 phones I ordered arrived. It is DEFINITELY a China made clone. It looks like an iphone 4, but half the weight.
    The sim tray is different. The screen is different.
    I opened it up, and the insides are totally different.
    I powered it up, it worked for about 6 hours and just
    died on me.
    Wonder how I can make a claim.

    Regarding comeback you would have to send back to supplier, no chance.

    An expensive mistake.

    I totally agree with your comments regarding this product, everything you say regarding it having been cloned.

    Today, I have given all relavent information to my credit card provider, and I would encourage everyone to do the same.

    In relation to there website no indication that they were China based.
    The packaging is also fake, and the apple logo does not appear on activating.

    The worst scenario is that you it cannot sync with iTunes.

    Mine came today-id already put a dispute in with my bank and i will continue to pursue it-
    the site is a complete fraud-it specifies brand new iphone as in returns unused/refurbished so ive printed that off
    it broke the 6 day delivery gaurantee-again false advertising
    its states on the receipt of the parcel that its shoes and clothes-hmm why do that for a genuine product they promise your getting in the ir advert
    why make out theyre in usa when theyre in china-simple because they dont want to be caught cloning
    Ive had acknowledgement from my bank already so im running with it

    the heap of crap they have sent wont work with my home wifi-in a sense i hope it teaches my son that apparant branded isnt the be all and end all.........im off to buy a HTC for £150.00 lol take care everyone and its been great supporting each other x

    Congratulations, you have had better luck than me credit card company have made me return phone to China. So I am worse off no phone no money.

    They are giving nano5sale 30 days from receipt of phone to refund before they will settle the matter.

    I will keep everyone posted as to outcome.
