After being linked to Grant Assistance. org I was offered free assistance at applying for grants.
After taking my info I was told the CD would be mailed for $2.97 postage. I never saw anything requiring another payment, my bank acct. was debited 57.93 -- for what I don't know. I never authorized another charge and I never saw another offer. Everything they offered was FREE. I got no online assistance although this was (originally) a gov't assistance website. My husband and I are both disabled and our home has been closed by the county for disrepair and health violations, it is also due to be forclosed on if it doesn't get taken for back property taxes. I was looking for housing assistance, food pantries, legal assistance. Everywhere I went Grant Assistance was there--ALL GOV'T ASSISTANCE SITES. We have no home and no food. I had put money aside for my pain medicine which they took. Without it I will not only suffer agonizing pain, but go into withdrawls as well. I cannot think of a worse group of people for these scam artists to target than the sick, elderly, disabled poor. They should be hung, if ever caught. But first they should be forced to pay punitive damages to everyone they cheated in the amount of 100 times the initial theft. For example in my case $60.00 should be comensated $6,000.00. They probably think since it is under $100 people will write it off--but they do not understand that with the desparate situation of the persons targeted, already under severe hardship conditions. What troubles they are causing us are way beyond inconvenience. They really should be hung and may God have mercy on their souls.
