I called to make a reservation through Reservation-Desk.com for a hotel in the Liverpool/Syracuse area with an indoor pool for 11/02/13. The person who helped my husband and I book this reservation was so helpful. It was very clear several times that we were looking for a place with an indoor pool that we could use because its 30 degrees in this area and an outdoor pool would be useless. We tried to book one hotel and that was filled at the last second so he helped us find another. Upon getting to the hotel we find out there is NO indoor pool and only an outdoor one. We call the Reservation-Desk.com people and ask them to cancel our reservation at this hotel and that we found another hotel down the road with an indoor pool and we would book through them no problem just cancel that reservation as this was just an oversight because the person who had helped us the first time was so helpful and nice and knew we needed an indoor pool that it was just a mistake. They said that they spoke to the manager of the hotel and they refused to refund the reservation. I was at the hotel with the only person there and no phone call was made. She in fact told me all they had to do was send a cancellation paper so she could cancel it in her system so they did not get billed down the line. They said they would go over the recordings and see about how specific we really were about this indoor pool and they would call us back in about two days. We agreed and never received a phone call. I called them on 11/26/13 and they just refused any refund even though we did not stay there and it was a mistake on their part about an indoor pool. When I was speaking to a couple of the representatives they were able to give me dates that had supposedly spoke to a manager, which was the night of check in (when there was no manager on duty), but when transferred to that persons manager, they knew nothing about any dates or contact. They also refused to provide any mailing/physical address or email address. They lied.
