I visited a site that was listed as a Tiffany & Co. outlet. I made a purchase for $100. Everything appeared to be okay as it identified the site as Norton Safe as well as having the Truste Verified symbol. I became suspicious when I printed my receipt and it printed in very light print and didn't have the web address on it. I also didn't receive an email confirmation. I immediately googled the company name and found several complaints. About fifteen minutes after my purchase, I received a call from my financial institution asking if I had made the purchase. I told them I had but discovered that it was a scam site. I put a block on my debit but the debit went through and I was charged $103.23. I immediately emailed their contact # and directed them to cancel my order and refund my money. I received an email today telling me that they can refund my money but they have to take out a processing fee and transaction fee. They email from [email protected]. The site I purchase the items from has now disappeared from the internet.
