I tried to install and update a program on my computer and could not because Avast would not let me change my password. I called about the problem and the sales person wanted to sell me a "clean-up package". I have a new computer, I was having no problems with the computer but the tech insisted that my computer was the problem. He spent over 35 minutes selling. I was never issued a new password to turn off Avast, my problem about the program was never addressed. After I refused the clean-up program he was basically through with me and told me he could not help. Later, my expiration date was up, because of him I was not going to renew my Avast membership, I could not uninstall Avast because of the password. Another call got me the same sales pitch. I finally gave in and gave him control over the computer. He did nothing. We sat and watched as he did nothing. He did not write me back or report back so I called back. I got another tech who told me there was nothing wrong with my computer and I should get my money back. She said she would go ahead and clean up my computer just in case but that I should call customer service and report the person-who called himself Carlos-a false name. Customer Service did not listen to me just told me no I would not get my money back. This is the most unprofessional, dishonest and disrespectful company I have ever dealt with.
