I was looking for a website that would help me find rent to own property. This is what was sent to me via email:

When I finally got to open the website, I saw 2 homes to rent. I tried to contact them the same day. They do not have a contact number so I sent them an email telling them I wanted a refund and I still have not received a response.

Hi Curtis,
Thanks for your feedback, however, we are quite a reputable company, I can assure you of this, and we have been a strong company registered in 2002, with customer service that keeps people coming back to us. I am, however, a little surprised that you had such an issue, and if you can send me copies of the correspondence you sent to us, I will make sure to track down the responsible party within our company and make sure that we have a stern discussion, and that you will be refunded all or part of what you paid.
One important note, however, is that for the future, you need to be careful when using the terms "Scam", as our attorney located this story and was contemplating Electronic Slander charges. I am not an attorney, so I believe we can discuss, communicate, and resolve.

- Apologies for the misunderstanding. I'm sure your company has a perfect track record. I will take your non-legal advice on what I "NEED" to do about using the term. I had to go through other sources to obtain a phone number to contact you. I did call you twice and left a message for you to return my call. You did not. In the future, why not provide a visible contact phone number for your customers, so they can communicate with your company if they have problems with your website?
