I bought the new iPhone in early October. Naturally, I shopped around the typical places (i.e. Apple Store, Gazelle, etc) to sell my 'old' 4S (16GB, white. I received an offer from HelloTotem for the amount of $205.00 (which, at the time, was $20 greater than the others). I accepted the offer online and received a package for shipping in the mail three days later (further evidence they can mail items and have my correct address).

On the offer invoice I received with the packaging, it stated that processing of payment would take 3-5 days following receipt of phone. 5 weeks later, I had received nothing. I saw some things on the website that said something along the lines of that, due to the high volume of phones being sold to HelloTotem that processing was taking longer than normal. However, after I had submitted numerous emails (or 'tickets' as they are called on their website) that were not returned or was unable to call HelloTotem (they apparently do not have a working phone number), I began to see that something wasn't right about this.

I then had my husband, a recent law school grad, speak to his father, a practicing attorney, and a 'demand letter' was sent on my behalf to HelloTotem in electronic form. Oddly enough, I received a emailed response dated November 22. In that response, 'Chelsea' informed me that "payment was released on 11/20/13 and mailed out to the address provided. If you do not receive it in one week please let us know."

It is now December 10, and I have yet to receive payment. I have also tried countless times to inquire about this via email/'tickets' and have not received the first response.
