Ordered camera on line cyber monday 12/1 or 12/2, with special offer of free express shipping. Put comment on order about free shipping because order form would not show this. A few days later, got confirming message, but indicating it would take 10-14 days to receive product. By 12/10, still had not recieved item but got email from [email protected] saying the order just being placed with 10-14 day delivery and providing number to call of 614-556-4559. I called. They said they had been waiting to "confirm the order because of all the fraudulent activity" and it would now ship 10-14 days. I reminded them of express delivery and they reluctantly agreed. Man then told me camera didnt come with a battery and tried to sell me a battery. I thot he was in error and declined and ended call. After seeing Panasonic site and others indidicating OEM kit comes with accessories including battery, called them back. When they found out I was calling back, transferred me around several times and long holds til I got "Dick Harry, cust svc supervisor" (yeah, really!). In long heated conversation, he admitted: camera was "wholesale", not US product but came from overseas, did not have ANY of the OEM accessories in the box. Denied they were refurbished. Refused to respond to my repeated complaints that none of this was disclosed on web site or otherwise at time of sale other than to say "that's why its so cheap". After I asked to cancel the order due to the fraud and fear this wasn't even a real, new, Panasonic camera, he offered me to reduce the price by $20, then threatened me with a "cancellation fee". After I demanded to cancel with no fees or charges and threatened to go after their company for fraud, he agrred to cancel the order with no fee. Whole conversation was very sleazy and scary. Sounded like a real fly by night deal, so I notified my credit card company and replaced my card - they confirmed no charge or advance authorization had yet occurred. figure this is some kind of phishing scam as well as a foreign company trying to pass off counterfeit products as real US products. Wish I'd seen your site earlier!
