Jail Calls Service would give me a local number for my inmate to call me. This would eliminate
long distance call charges. Securus, the company that services the prison, kept calling and saying I had no balance for inmate to place calls. I called them and told them how I paid $70.58 for 3-month service with Jail Calls, and Securus told me Jail Calls was a scam.
It was virtually impossible to reach anyone at Jail Call or the contact in District of Columbia that was to give me the local number.
I left a message at Jail Calls to call me and they finally did, but said it was too late to cancel service with them.
I told them they had the worst customer service ever, and I would never use them again. Their reps had very confusing answers to questions.
I am contacting the Better Business Bureau to see how to stop this preying on people. Shame on the people involved with the Jail Calls scam.
