Like many of the other complaints regarding Smintcare.com, I've been victimized. My bank caught the charge immediately and killed my card. I was immediately contacted by text, email, and a phone call. My bank has a great fraud protection department for which I am thankful. I did sneak on the site- the number is out of service and they do speak of charges to a card. It was so bogus. Anyhoo after all the bs stated, it does give one an oppty to dispute a charge online. I decided to call the number out of curiosity and unsurprisingly the number is out of service.

Of course it is the season of scams. A credit card can be easily tagged at a gas station, atm, or on line. Technology has its perks but then sometimes there are consequences (wifi gadgets - smart phones, tablets, etc.).

I hope these people are stopped and brought to justice. May they live in squalor and may they pay dearly for the people they've ripped off. I know most of us work hard for the money. In these trying times, a stunt like this isn't favorable.

Let's all be better at being careful with our identites- that's anything that binds us- credit cards, driver's license, passport, online sites- fraud is big problem.
