I Went to the ER at Johnson City Medical Center 2 weeks ago today and saw Dr. Blake Bible (may have been a nurse practitioner) When he approached me in the waiting room The nurse placed me in he asked me what was wrong. I told him I had a horrible cough and my tonsils were full of puss and my ears and throat were infected. He never checked anything on me. He simply sat in his chair and wrote me a prescription for zithromax and anaprox 550mg. I asked him would he please check me (breathing, ears, throat, etc) and he huffed a little and said he could check me but he knew I had a infection. I went home and took the meds as prescribed. After completing the round of antibiotics, I was not well. I do not have medical insurance or a primary doctor yet as I have just moved to this area. I went back to the ER tonight and my symptoms had worsened.Not only was I completely sick, coughing up Flem, but I felt I now had a slight urinary tract infection. When he approached me in the waiting room once again I explained to him that the antibiotics had begun working and when I ran out, my flu symptoms had returned. He then ordered a strep,blood work,flu, and urine culture test on me. I thought for sure, this time I would finally figure out what was wrong with me. He ordered the nurse to give me a shot of tramadol and a dose of peridium (for urinary discomfort) and When he returned with my results, he told me everything was clear. I did not have strep, nor the flu, or a kidney or urinary infection. I told him something was wrong with me. I never get sick. I am a healthy person and explained my fever the night before of 102 and my constant aching and chills. This was when he got a attitude and told me I was not sick. I am a 32 year old woman and I know my body , something is wrong. I explained to him that the antibiotics helped me and I was getting better and as soon as I was out of them, my symptoms returned, but worse. He told me he would not give me any antibiotics because the tests stated I did not have any infection. My complaint is, why did he give me the antibiotics my first visit 2 weeks ago when he never so much as even checked me out. I had to practically beg him to check my breathing, and that was when he prescribed me the zithromax and anaprox. I came home tonight from the ER feeling worse than when i arrived. I heard him in the other room talking about the previous patient before me using vulgar language and making fun of him. I think this man needs to listen to his patients. I told him that. I also pointed out that the antibiotics were helping and once I stopped taking them my symptoms returned. He laughed at me and raised his voice and said I am not giving you anything but peridium and anaprox. I can get both of those things over the counter (peridium= AZO urinary discomfort, anaprox= Naproxin sodium) He was rude and loud and very inappropriate. Even th
