My household make a furniture purchase at JC Penney and deferred balance thru GE Cap with interest free payments 1 yr. we set up the initial pay schedule and when we saw the pymt wasn't taken we called before due date and they said the whole balance was scheduled not a payment. We said that was not what we wanted so they said they would cancel that payment and we set up the remaining payments. 3 weeks later our checking acct was overdrawn bc they took the whole balance instead. We called GE they said no we can't cancel payments whoever said that was wrong. After a rude discussion and GE Cap employee telling us they would schedule removal of our furniture the store we purchased from got involved. GE cap said they would cancel or reverse the payment. 1 day later they tell us we can't reverse or cancel pymts. Whoever said that was wrong. Now we have to request a payment cancellation and wait for approval and they will mail us a check.
