A person called my work place stating that there was a warrant being issued for my arrest because I had not repaid some debt. They stated I had obtained an "unsecured" payday loan in March of 2013 for $350 and what were my intentions. After the shock wore off, I was able to think straight and started asking for information like a file number and the date of the occurance and his contact info. I also asked for a document that I must have signed. He said that he didnt have it cause it was done on line. After obtaining his information, I said I would call back after I contracted the local police AND my lawyer. I did call the police and they said scam..plain and simple. That if I had obtained a payday loan it would have been $10 to just owe them %350 since march of 2013!
Please make sure that if you are contacted that you dont verify anything! Get THEIR information and tell them you are contacting police and a lawyer. Also call you local attorney General and talk to the Consumer Fraud divison and watch your Credit report!!
