My wife and I attended a sales presentation and was offered a vacation package of 400,000 Points which we could not afford since we are on fixed incomes. The Sales Manager then offered another package of 105,000 points for $24,000. Again we told him we could not afford this package because we were saving for a 14 day Alaskan Cruise which would cost us about $6,000.00. The Sales Manager then said let's see what I can do and went into his office. He returned several minutes later and said he was able to get us 195,000 Bonus Points and with the 105,000 package we could book our 14 Day Alaskan cruise for our 50th wedding anniversary, and he was able to get us not only enough Bonus Points to book the cruise, but have some point left to pay part of our required flights.
Based upon his latest offer we signed a contract for the 105,000 points. Seven days later we tried to book our promised cruise and found that 3000,000 points would not even book a 3 day Bahama Cruise.
My wife and me have been trying to cancel the contract since we were coerced into signing the contract through deceit and fraud. We did have a third party with us and she has signed an affidavit verifying the above facts. We would never have signed the contract if we weren't promised the 195,000Bonus Points entitling us to a free 14 Day Alaskan Cruise for our 50th wedding anniversary. If we can't get the contract cancelled more like than not we will never be able to afford an Alaskan Cruise on our fixed income.
