I also received a call from this company stating that I applied and was approved for this $5000.00 grant. I was skeptical and asked questions because I did not remember applying for any such grant. However the man I spoke to with a heavy accent who said his name is "Ben Barker" assured me that this was from the U.S. government and it was "not a scam". Those were his words!! So I proceeded to listen to what he had to say. Unfortunately I ended up giving him my card number to be charged the small "one time fee" of $3.87. He assured me again that would be the only amount I would EVER be charged. After I received the user login and password that did not work by the way, I did some research online and found out it is a scam. I immediately called my bank and spoke to the fraud department and asked them to block any future transactions from this company. They told me that there were already several transactions that this company was trying to force thru. The bank stopped them and cancelled my card immediately. The fraud dept. assured me that with this company only having my bank card number they could not take any more of my money. Thankfully I found out before they were able to get anymore of my money. I wish everyone that has been taken advantage of the best of luck!! My advice would be to NOT give them any information about your bank account or credit card number. If you already have call your bank or credit card company NOW to have to card closed!!
