I am 39 yrs old and a 7 yr stage 3 breast cancer survivor but unfortunately after all the chemotherapy and radiation and many surgeries I health is not good elsewhere in my body. Even with insurance, my husband has to keep 2-4 jobs to be able to cover all of our bills and especially my medical bills. My prescriptions alone are $300 a month. I am on disability and it doesn't look like I can return to work any time soon. In fact, this last month I spent 13 days in the hospital and that bill alone, without the doctors bills, so far is $69,000. On top of that... we have a son with bipolar and borderline personality disorder and he tried to commit suicide in Feb 2009 so he spent 6 weeks in a psychiatric hospital and our "copay" was $10,000. Needless to say, when I saw the advertisement on TV and heard on the radio that this company could help people who are "upside down" in their house, they could help. We were promised that for the upfront "lawyers retainer fee" that they could decrease our 1st mortgage and obliterate our 2nd mortgage thru the Obama buy-out plan offered to banks in that situation. As soon as payments were set up, they stopped answering the phone. I cannot believe that people would do this to people like us. How cruel must they be? I don't have the slightest idea of where to turn?????????? Any ideas??????????????? I am totally forlorn over this.
