John Monarch of stole a significant amount of money from me. In August I saw this add on Facebook that prompted me to a website called TryBerryThin.com. I felt like it sounded too good to be true, as they site advertised that I could lose 30 pounds in 30 days...so I decided to leave the website.

As I exited off the screen I received a coupon code offering me a free bottle of Berry Thin for $1.95. I decided to take take offer and purchased it.

In December one of my credit cards declined at the store when I was shopping for my son's presents. I felt that it was odd because I pay close attention to all of my purchases and hadn't used that card since August.

I called my bank and discovered that I had 4 $89.97 charges to my credit card from the "BerryThin Membership" program.

This is total fraud, I never agreed to terms and conditions that would allow for this company to bill be $89.97 per month. I filed a dispute with my credit card company right away, only to discover that it would take a min. of 30 days before I could have the money back on my card. Christmas was in less than a week, I didn't have 30 days. As a single mother on Welfare and child support I don't have a lot of spare money nor do I have a lot of resources.

Infuriated by this I decided to use the one thing I do have a lot of, and that is time.

I started doing research on who the person was that owned TryBerryThin.com. This scam that I stupidly fell for ruined my son's Christmas and I was not going to let the perpetrator get away with it.

The owner of TryBerryThin.com is a company called Fourside Nutrition LLC. The managing member of Fourside Nutrition LLC is ANOTHER company called Connexus Inc. Connexus Inc. is registered to an individual names John Monarch. Bingo, I caught you.

Further research into John Monarch shows that he owns a company called direct-outbound.com, This is where he does his customer service for TryBerryThin.com and ships it. So I called the call center and talked to a gentlemen that told me that they get consumer complaints like me all the time and he was thinking about quitting because of it. Apparently the TryBerryThin.com is only 1 iteration of the scams that John Monarch is running from South Carolina.

I also figured out that the main website TryBerryThin.com is a very different version of the website that I purchased from. On the TryBerryThin.com website the terms and conditions are right next to the checkout button. On the version of the page that I bought from the terms are hidden so people like me would get duped into purchasing products.

Proof of this scam is attached. This may be the first time you are hearing from me John Monarch, but this is not the last. You take advantage of the little people and I am going to make sure everyone finds out about it. You're a coward.
