On 7th of December when I was on “Trademe” website, another web page suddenly appeared on top of it with “trade me” name and internet explorer logo and asked me to do a simple survey and then I can win a gift. I did it thinking it was a trademe survey (but it wasn’t a trademe survey) and won a small gift (an Ipod shuffle ). I was asked to send a $4.00 postal charge to receive it. I paid using my credit card. After that I was asked to send scanned copy of my credit card and driver’s licences. Then I realised something was not right with them and surfed the internet to search who was that wippy.com organisation.
Then I found lot of complaints against them and they have done exactly same method (they did for me) to steel credit card details from other’s too. There are more than 80 complaints on the following web page against wippy.com. Please see: http://www.scambook.com/company/view/127173/Ask-Wippycom

I forgot the gift and $4.00 I have paid just thought it was ended then. But later I have found wippy.com has opened a account for me without my consent and has stolen 136.78 from my credit card.!!!!!

I contacted them via email and asked to refund my money as I never had interest to join with them and I never trust them. They always reply politely (because they are at far away from New Zealand, overseas organisation) and declined to refund my money. They lied to me saying I have done 9 bids on their auction site. I never did that. I felt really angry as they not only steeling money but also lying to make themselves correct. I have no idea about the membership they have created to steel money from my VISA card.

They reply like a legitimate genuine company BUT THEY ARE NOT AT ALL.
