Bought groupon for $100 worth of spa services, made an appt and on the actual day of the appt, I woke up with a 100.9 fever, severe head cold, sinus congestion and bodily functions to gross to type. Called to reschedule and explain and they informed me, "oh bad for you that cancels your groupon", its our policy. I explained again that had I foreseen my fever etc I certainly would have cancelled with a 24 hr notice, but that I would try and give it to someone else to use short notice. I could not, and finally decided they had made me mad enough that if that was the way they conducted business then I would keep the appt and infect everyone. Not very nice I know, but the receptionist, Laura would not budge, and was really quite rude. In the end, I was too sick to leave the bathroom, and did not make appt, and will not promote that business, but rather will make as many publicly know how rude and uncooperative they. I might add as a business owner myself and also in the health care field, I have gladly allowed my patients to cancel and reschedule without a fee or such policies.
