When Sophie Wilson cold called me, she promised high, quick returns on my investment for low or no risk to the value of $38 000 return in a year. (This is contradictory to what is stated in the agreement.) She also claimed that i-selections is a genuine company and that after 1 year I will be going on a holiday with the huge profit that I will receive. She was persistent and was able to answer all the questions I had. She also told me that there were only 2 year membership left for $8800 or 1 year membership for $6000. I had to respond soon. She was quite nice on the phone and I was lured by her and the fact that all profit was tax free.

This is what i selections has stated in the brochure: “Our members have been fortunate in gaining superior returns from this Industry for quite some time now as you will see in the following pages. Due mainly to the fact that it is one of the only Industries in Australia, that is still largely unaffected by “Unstable Economic Forces” and “Global Recessions”.”

Consequently, I purchased a 2 year membership with that company for the value of $8800. I invested $ 1000 in horse racing as recommended and so far there has been nothing but losses.

Sophie has also subsequently refused to take my calls every time I asked to speak to her.
Moreover, Geoff, my ‘Personal Customer Service Representative’, keeps giving me different excuses each time I ask for an explanation about the losses.

I am disappointed because the service provided so far is unsatisfactory, due to the consequent losses incurred and the promised huge returns and risk-free profits which have never eventuated.
