On 1/2/13 I responded to a pop up add from Equinox Sheridan, agreeing to purchase, by credit card, a "free trial offer" for $4.95, a small bottle of Equinox serum revitalizing cream. The small bottle arrived, with no paperwork and I thought my purchase of 4.95 was over and done with.
Today, 2/11/14, I got a call from credit card company expressing concern regarding "unusual charges" on my card. I was informed about three charges I was unaware of, all from EquinoxSheridan, listed as follows:
1/2/13 I thought $4.95 was charged for the free sample
2/25/13 my card was charged $93.00
2/25/13. A second charge of $93.0

No merchandise was received for those two charges.

2/10/14. I received a call from my card co. Questioning the previous charges PLUS an additional charge;

2/10/14 my card was charged $99.95

I contacted the company, (185 532 7107) and was told that the free trial offer I received was 4.95 for shipping PLUS $93.00. I was told this covered the first shipment. I requested a refund because I could send the cream back as I never opened it. I was informed that the "30 day free return offer" was 9 days past the 30 day period. (Remember, no paperwork came with the one and only bottle received)

So now, my "free trial offer for $4.95) (to cover shipping), has come to a total of $303.95. It is interesting that the two charges posted on Jan. 26, 2014, are $93.00 each, and the charge for 2/10/14, is $99.95, all charges are for the same item, so why a discrepancy in the amounts? also, where is the charge for 1/2/13? That was the date of origination on my "free trial offer", so there should have been a charge for that date. (That is also the date the company quoted as the 30 day cut off for money back guarantee). If it was billed on Jan 26, (late) then I do in fact qualify for my 30 day free trial offer because that was when I was billed twice, and the first charge at all. Meanwhile I was charged an extra time jan 26, 2014, and received nothing. I am 67 years old and retired. Never ever would I pay $93.00 for ANY beauty product. My card company saw it was suspicious and unusual for me, and thank God they called me. I want my $299.00 back and I will take this all the way to so. My credit card company is getting the first go at these cheats and if that doesn't work, I will take the second step, and the third, whatever it takes. Being retired, I can sit in court as oft ripen and as long as it takes.
