I paid for a free product after completing a survey online in Decemeber. I received another shipment at the end of Jan. I didn't check my online credit card statement in Jan. I received a 3rd box in Feb. I started to wonder. Without any company information on the box, no shipping slip or statement for charges inside the box. The shipment is in a small cardboard box with USPS shipping label only,no company name, it's shipped from GA.
I searched my online statements and found a charge in Feb. from Soft Sub Luminant. I seldom read all the details of the charge on my online statement, to my surprise, this is a recurring charge. So I checked my
Jan. statement, there's the same charge. But my Dec. state was charged $4.95 to Luminant Skin, which is a name I recognized with the amount I agree to. The other 2 is charged to a different name with a different amount.
I called the company after reporting to my credit card company to stop any payment to this company.
I talked to an operator, he kept telling me they have the words after the order that we have to call them in 10 days to cancel. I don't recall that. He also mentioned there's an email notification. I told him that with their company's reputation, probably the email was in the scam folder that I never seen in my inbox. He kept telling me to check on their trial page (which cannot be accessed from the main website, which has no pricing list)
I asked for a manager to talk to for refund, he asked me to call back. I insisted to wait and told him that I would like to have a total refund and I am willing to return the products.
I also will report to BBB. Then he had a manager talking to me in a few minute. The manager first offered 50% refund of the last charge. Then I repeat the same complaint, he kept telling me their statement and they cannot do a refund. At the end he offered to do a full refund for the current charge but not the Jan. charge. I told him I will keep telling others about their unfair practice.
