A call from tech who says he is from Microsoft
He tells you you're computer has spyware and Malware and them proceeds to show you on your computer everything that is infected You say I cannot pay to have it fixed. Not a problem, he says he will fix it for free. He puts a registration form on your screen and you fill it out including your debit card info. In the amount owed he has you type in $00.00 saying you owe nothing. He also says you will have to type in a password to get back into your computer. The call is ended. I then call my bank and find out that$399.99 has been taken out of my account. Meanwhile my two computers are totally screwed up and I have to pay someone to erase my hardrive completely losing information. I am on Social Security and live on a very tight budget. This whole experience has left me devastated.
