Company called from a Houston area code number (713) 489-4254 offering me a $3000 loan. The company already had my social security number and bank account information. The initial person introduced himself as Alex. "Alex" stated that i had to pay a confirmation fee of $300.00 in order to receive the loan in my bank account. After I presented it he stated I needed to pay another $360 to cover the insurance. I'm not very knowledgeable about how loans work so i guess i got taken advantage of. I paid the other $360 and waited. He called me back the next day and told me he cant deposit my loan in my account because it has been flagged...my account cant be flagged because I don't owe the state any money. I always pay my taxes on time and up until this point I have never attempted to take out a loan or borrow money from ANYONE. I don't even have credit cards so it was an obvious lie. I asked him to be transferred to a manager who (sounded exactly like him....unbelievable) told me the exact same thing but when I asked him what social security number it was under, he gave me the wrong number...I didn't even bother to correct him....I could see what was going on. I asked for a refund and he told me that the cancellation fee was $60 i said fine ok ill pay that (figuring hell 60 bucks is a lesson learned.) This morning (2 days later) i get another call from the same number and the guy says his name is peter (still same damn voice). Well peter says they cant deposit my 600 in my account because the minimum they are allowed to put in is 1000 and that if I want my 600 back I have to pay the remaining balance of 400...Can you believe this crap?? HE THINKS I'M GOING TO GIVE HIM ANOTHER $400. Fool me once shame on you...fool me twice and I deserve it...but 3 times? Get out of here! If this company starts contacting you, block the number. Its a scam.
