I had an issue connecting to the Internet today and thought I was calling my ISP. However I got someone who was telling me my network was compromised. We talked about it for a while but he wanted to dispatch a level 6 technician and charge $160 for ridding me of the threat. However when he stated that dhcp (which was timing out) would always configure my system with the same IP address, I decided to hang up as he obviously didn't know much about the network. I then called my real ISP and the problem was resolved in minutes. Pays to pay attention to the URL when calling support.
