On April 10 I requested a copy of my credit report from ScoreSense and notified them by phone immediately that I did not wish to pay for any membership as I was only interested in seeing my credit report. I was provided no cancellation number nor the name of the individual I spoke with from their customer service number. When I received my VISA bill this month, I discovered a charge from ScoreSense for $29.95 on April 17 that I had not authorized. I contacted their customer service department once again and after a lengthy conversation was assured that I was now cancelled and a request for refund would be processed. I could expect a response within three business days. On May 3 I received an email from them indicating the $1.00 charge was being refunded. I replied that the $1.00 charge was not my issue and that I demanded a refund of the $29.95 charge. Again I was informed I could expect a response within three business days. On May 5 I received an email from them indicating that my request for a refund was being denied. I replied that I was not satisfied with that response and as yet have heard nothing else. I went to my credit union this morning and filed a dispute of the charge in question. I anxiously await a response from one or the other.

There needs to be some way of containing this company and keeping them from defrauding other consumers. They are certainly not reputable by any stretch.
