I'm a first time seller and this person contacted me through Craigslist about my wedding dress. Something seemed off, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. She sent several long emails, saying that she'd bought a dress from a bridal company and was "disappointed by it". I was to send my dress to Alaska where her mother lived because H.B. was allegedly out of the country working as a journalist. She had cancelled her original wedding dress order and was going to send me a check for $1,000 even though my asking price was $400. I was to send back the balance from the moneygram to her wedding coordinator, Laura Richmond,7600 E 88th Ave.LOUISVILLE CO 80027. Meanwhile, she alleged that her father had a heart attack.
I got her check in the mail today. Went to deposit it at my bank and thankfully the woman at the counter cautioned me before sending back my portion of the money. Googling the address found multiple complaints from this site. Needless to say, I will not be moving forward with this transaction. Thank goodness for the internet; my money was not lost! Also, I can't believe how close in time frame all of these complaints are. She scamming multiple people at the same time.
