Called and said they were representing Microsoft. I asked twice to verify they were in fact from Microsoft when I suspected it was a scam call. They affirmed twice they were calling from Microsoft.
I then got connected to a senior support professional asking me to check event viewer for errors and telling me my computer was going to crash and that I had malware and viruses, etc. Then asked me to go to their website and download a file. Which is when I alerted the person on the phone that I knew this was a scam and that I wasn't paying for anything and she said that she was quitting her job because this wasn't ethical.
