Got hosed into buying a 20,000 point RCI timeshare at Georgian MAnor Resort. Weren't told that most vacations at prime time which is the only time we can travel cost around 45,000 - 60,000 points. Went once since 2009 & got put in the old section with no elevators. They charge outrageous fees to carry over points, charge "booking fees" of over $200.00 and charge a daily fee of $9.00 for what I don't know. The hot tub and indoor pool are gross and there are no staff around the outdoor pool to make sure guests don't bring glass to poolside.

We are desperate to get out of this mess. Have consulted with our lawyer & he has confirmed that the contract is binding & if we don't continue to pay the fees, they can come after us. Cruising around the internet yesterday I saw something about a "walkaway fee", not sure if in reference to Georgian Manor or not. Our lawyer said that they might be willing to release us "for a fee". The amount I saw was $2,500.00. I plan to look into this and may have our lawyer draft a letter to them since I think that would get more attention than if I wrote one.
