I went to a meeting, which ended up being a very high pressure sales pitch - 5 people against me at one point. I thought the membership would be fun because I do enjoy camping, and I would get 2 free vacations to some really nice looking locations (the brocure had locations like Daytona Beach FL, Corpus Christi TX, San Fransisco CA, Chicago IL, Padre Island, etc.... When I got the confirmation letter for the vacations, it told me I could choose from other locations that were far less desirable - including my home town of Tulsa OK. Why would I want to visit my hometown on a vacation? When I called to ask if I could go to the places on the original brochure, the woman was very rude and said that those places were for sales purposes only and were not an actual representation of what the company had to offer and that I could only pick from the list of cities on my letter.

I tried to call the headquarters office to confirm this and again, very rude service. They said that this was not their problem and this was a different company that handles this "gift". I told them that I was very dissatisfied with service up to this point, and wanted to terminate my membership. They told me I had to wait two years AND pay the annual fees before being eligable to cancel/sell the membership.

Now that the two years has past, I have been trying to sell the membership over the RV websites and craigslist. I have had 4 potential buyers. However, they have all gone to take tours before accepting my offer. Taking a tour of the property disqualifies them from being able to buy from a current owner. OCP knows that, and has told me over the phone that they try to get people into the properties to take tours so that it makes it harder for current owners to sell their property memberships.

I WANT OUT OF THIS RACKET! I can camp in a national park with better customer service than this. I have learned alot of valuable lessons about high-pressure sales, and people with this sort of value system need to be taught some sort of lesson. Good people are being taken advantage of.
