we negotiated with her and we agreed to purchase 8000 reams of A4 photocopy paper white at $2.25p/ream c.i.f Mombasa kenya.
she issued us with a sales contract no. TDL201312 in conformity to what we agreed upon.
we raised 100% letter of credit at sight of $18,000 through our co-operative bank of kenya.
Their original invoice no.INV201401 dated 7.1.2014 enabled us to pay local taxes.The Bl which they sent was forged Bl according to the shipping company the Emirates Shipping line.
The 20ft container no.AAAU2000562 purported to be containing our paper arrived at the port of mombasa on 18.2.2014.
we did our customs entry to remove the goods from port but before removal the customs officers must do verification and they discovered that what was declared to be in the container with customs was different and it was sand like substances stuffed in white gunnybags.Samples of the same was letter taken to our Government chemist to Analyse the substance which found to sand.Our Government side has the report of all what transpired.
we therefore need refund of our money.
The container is still at the port.
