I searched google for nhl jerseys (Tampa bay lightning) and this sight lighningfansshop.com appears. When I visited the sight at first glance it looks legit. The replica jerseys were $40-$50 cheaper than what nhl.com and other sites were offering so I figured I would attempt to order. Since I was in a hurry I went ahead and ordered and that is when I started noticing the scam that these people put on. Most of the time I am pretty good with my CC and personal info but this time I let my guard down and I should have know from the cues. Let me go over the scam then I will share the information one can look for to see the scam in action. First off you order then you never receive a confirmation email. When you check your credit card transaction, youll notice that they charge $10 more than the list price and you also receive a international transaction fee (since it is China). Ok fine, so after a day of no e-mail you go back to the site and realize that they have no contact information anywhere (no phone number, address, etc) so you have to use the "contact us" form when they finally get back to you, you receive an email from "jerseysbee" who states they dont have your jersey available but they have a different "premium jersey" for the same price. Mind you all of this is in broken Chinese Engrish. Thats when I asked multiple times for a tracking number and stopped receiving emails from "jerseysbee". I called Visa and am pending a charge back I also reporting this site and [email protected] to the FBI cyber crimes division.

Couple things that I should have caught on the website (stupid of me, but lesson learned) There is no secure server for this site through the entire checkout process (no https) that was a big red flag for me. There is no direct contact information, no phone number or address just a contact us form. The reviews next to the jeseys are fake you cant write your own reviews on them lol. The checkout isnt secure and when you enter your card information all the images are not linked they just place them there to make the site look official. These are just a few of the things when I go back to the site, there are many more but I hope this saves at least one person the heartache I have endure.
