Cosmetics company offers cosmetics free - just pay low shipping charge - for filling in a survey about another unrelated company; in my case my cable provider. Cosmetics arrived and then I noticed recurring charges on my credit card of about $200/month. Apparently there is some fine print somewhere, which I never saw, that constitutes a contract unless you send the stuff back. They will ship stuff each month. If you phone the company FIRST and tell them to cancel they say they will, but then also let your credit card company know not to accept further charges. You can't just let the credit card people know without first phoning the scamming people. As a matter of fact, I did phone the credit card people first and they connected me to the scamming company, then I phoned the credit people back and said I'd discontinued the contract. Unfortunately you can't get your already billed amount back.
