My daughter received a text on her phone claiming her device to be compromised and somehow was able to lock her phone functions and to call 800-624-9114 for detail
without knowing any better she allows them access to her computer as they claim they will fix her problem for a fee of 300 when she explains she doesn't have 300 they settle on 99.99 .
They then gain access to her computer and begin to walk her through steps to validate legitimacy, such as near by Apple stores where she could have them fix the problem or just pay them their fee and not have to leave the home, then they proceed to plant false virus and bugs to prove she has been compromised.
This is not a legit business !!!!!!! straight up scam!!!!!!!!!
