This company acquired my bank details in August 2014 as part of an internet transaction. I cancelled my membership with them almost immediately ,suspecting dodgy business practice.
They promptly accepted my wish to cancel and confirmed this had been done. I heard nothing again from them and thought that this was the end of the story until the end of 2015, whilst checking my bank statement, I noticed that they had been taking money out of my bank account without my permission.I spotted the scam straight away.They lay dormant with my bank details for a year and a half without doing anything and when they thought the coast was clear, they started to take money out of my account. If I had not spotted this, they would still be taking monthly sums of money from my account. I realise that I am just one of hundreds of people that they have scammed over a long period of time.I was lucky that I was able to force them to refund me the money that they had taken by being brutally nasty with them on the phone and threatening them with the police. Once I had received my money back,I cancelled my bank card and got a replacment which was the only sensible thing
I could do because, remember , they still had my bank details on record and were just as likely to do the same thing again to me in the future. These people need to be stopped. they are unscrupulous scammers with absolutely no
conscience. Is there anything you can do to stop them doing this to other unsuspecting people ?
