The Rental Protection Agency is a website that allows tenants to file a complaint against their landlord. After paying a fee, the complaint is presented to the landlord, and the RPA acts as the mediator in the case. I filed a complaint with the RPA over a billing dispute I had with my previous landlord. I paid $50 to have an official complaint delivered to my apartment complex via USPS Certified Mail. After three months, the service I purchased from the RPA has still not been delivered. My landlord never received my complaint, and I have lost $50. I have tried to contact the RPA via the contact information on their website, but I have been unsuccessful. I've contacted the Better Business Bureau for help. I received a response from Scott Paxton, the Director of the RPA, accusing me of committing "libel" for discrediting his business and for insinuating that he did not deliver the product I paid for. The Rental Protection Agency is a scam agency that fishes money from innocent consumers.

- Totally agree! RPA is slandering my name on their website as the landlord who refused to cooperate but I have tried numerous times to respond to my tenant's ridiculous accusations and my two page typed response never gets submitted. I am furious and submitted a BBB complaint. Such scam artists!
