I use to have a different alarm system, when the salesperson of AMP Security offered me an upgrade. Never said anything about a contract until after the signing. I had not planned on moving, however when my Uncle bought my mom out of the house I was living. The week of October 5, he decided he did not want me living there anymore. He gave me less than a week to move. I called AMP to let them know I would be moving and had no where to install the new system. I was told they could put the account on a freeze for 3 months.

Come January it was past the 3 month freeze and I called the sales rep who signed me up and told them I still had no where to install the system and I was getting letters saying that I owed for the time it was frozen. I was told when it is frozen I would not be billed. Plus my credit card number had changed so I gave him the new information. I was willing to have them bill me still but was not able to install it any where. I continuously called to give them updates about me still not having a place.

I started receiving collection notices and was told by AMP and Guardian security which is the actual alarm system but AMP did the billing, they were not able to help me because they have since canceled my service and owed $750 for early contract termination and $300+ for non payment from December through February. They wanted to bill me over $1200. I called the collections and settled for $1,028.58 because I was in the middle of closing escrow because I just bought a house and was going to use this alarm. I did not want this scam company ruin my chances of buying this house. When I called AMP and Guardian there is several notes of me calling.

They are a big rip off and have had nothing but problems since I got the service. Guardian Protection Services
