Received a proposal to do work in my home on 4/12/16 totaling $6,550. to complete wood flooring and remodel bathroom. Bryant Coleman asked for half down to start work totaling $3,275. He and his crew started on 4/24/16 worked the 25th, 26th and has not been back. Contacted him several times by text and left phone messages to see whats going on. Received a text from B. Coleman April 29, 2016 at 8:00 am stating that the remaining of my floor will be there Sunday May 1, 2016 after I get home from church. I text B. Coleman at 12:16 Are you still coming? No reply - no show - no call. Text B. Coleman again that evening asking whats going on? informed that there are problems with the work done, home is in disarray, not happy. May 2, 2016 text B. Coleman again asking him to call me and let me know something. Informed that I was considering a complaint. I received a text back from B. Coleman at 2:12pm stating "I'm just landing from vacation in the Bahamas, I don't know why my brother did not show up. I see you are disappointed and it might be best if we both cut our loss at this point and you find another contractor". I texted him back re: partial refund. Bryant Coleman texted sorry you feel that way let me know what you expect so we can agree on a amount. Received a call from Bryant Coleman brother Lee Coleman apologizing for the lack of communication between he and his brother. wants to try to correct problem. Each time I pointed out a problem in the flooring with spacing he said we gone take care of it. Told him I would think about it and get back in touch. No communication until May 13, 2016. Received a text from B. Coleman. "Linda want to touch basis to clear the air and home you will allow us to finish he project. I responded by text What exactly do you plan to do and finish? Details... got no response, no communication. May 17th B. Coleman called and suggested that he come out with his floor guy to correct and complete the work on the floor themselves. he suggested removing flooring, leveling floor and reinstalling new floor at no further cost to me. I agreed. we scheduled a date for Saturday May 21st. Bryant''s floor guy and his teen age son (13-14 yrs) showed up stating Bryant's on his way as interpreted by his son . He looked at the flooring, removed one of the boards which was glued down, and took a sample of the flooring with him. As of today I have not heard from Bryant Coleman. I did send him a letter of demand on 6/13/16 to comply within 10 days. No response
