I have had the maintenance package on my furnace and air conditioner for over 11/2 years. I believe I signed up for it in November 2015 or before. Last summer 2015 I had 6 visits from he maintenance team. One time he didn't have a dye kit so he couldn't find the leak. (I have my copies of these reports). The house was rented at the time and all seemed well. This year again the air conditioner was flat/no coolant was found when I had my spring inspection. A maintenance man was sent out who told me the value outside had not been tighten and so he tighten it and sealed it. He also told me that now that he had fixed it that I would have no more problems. Everything was good. This was on May 5th 2016. I sold the house as of June 20th and the new owners let me know on June 26th that the unit was not working. |I called the maintenance office that afternoon and started the ball rolling the fix this problem. I was given the name of Carol Rogers to contact so I would not keep getting a different person each time I called. On Monday June 27th a maintenance person was sent to the house at 119 Glamorgan Drive Kanata K2L 1R6 and he checked the unit and told the new owner that it would cost approximately $3,000.00 to fix the unit. I don't have that paper but I'm sure I can get it. He verbally told the new owner that the unit was toast and that he could see how the other man on May 5th had missed it.
My thought is that because they came out after my plan was finished (June 20th) that they assumed the responsibility to fix the problem. Also in all the times they came out and again on May 5th they assured me that they had fixed the leak. Also I feel that they were just taking my money each month and not giving me the service that I paid for.
