Salesperson came to door selling magazine subscriptions and claimed he was working he way towards self reliance. Very persuasive. Felt compassion and cut check for $350 for two magazines for 3 years. Seemed high but thought the extra was to help support this person. Looked up later that afternoon online and found it was a scam. Luckily put a hold on check.
