This morning I've received a phone call from Simrandeep Singh with a strong Indian accent, who claimed to be a recruiter for a temp angency called Pyramid Inc....phone number (770) 255-3215. He asked me if I am still looking for work, because he saw my resume on Career Builder. I told him yes out of curiosity. He then stated that he had an opening with Time Warner Cable in NYC. It suppose to be a temp assignment for 6 months, with the opportunity to be permanent. They verified my full name, address, email address and phone number. After that he asked me " oh by the way, may I have your date of birth and the last four of your social security number?" My red flag went up imidiately!!! I asked him why, which got him impatient. I have worked all my life, an employer has never asked me for my date of birth nor social security number over the phone!!!! These foreigners are out there stealing people's identity, so others can use them for whatever reason. Please be careful out there!!!!
