I purchased two rings from Zales in the amount of about $200o.00. Since these were gifts, and the exact ring size was unknown at sale the sale persons indicated that the recipient could bring the rings in for sizing and indicated such was included in purchase. Later, the gift recipient went to the store a=to have sized and was told she would have to pay about $500 to have them sized. I was embarrassed and cannot.. will not... ever do business with Zales again.. a once trusted merchant, Zales demonstrates somewhat fraudulent sales tactic of leaving a customer to assume via non-disclosure that a sizing fess was an extra. Zales should have advised at sale that extra cost would accrue costs would accrue and would not be included in the sale of rings. God Damn them for their callous disregard for consumers. Their business model appears to be "for every customer lost, we get 5 new ones, so why bother" .. this was indicated in response received when I complained to Zales Corporate. I have been a loyal customer at Zales.. spending in excess of $4000 over several years, no more!
