Was contacted by a Cameron Gamble who said he did advertising for a local radio station. They were running a special as a fundraiser for an animal shelter. Have your ad read twice a day from 6am - 10am by the on air personalities for 4 weeks at $800. I paid them half. They sent me an MP3 that was a recording of someone reading the ad. It wasn't the DJ's from that station that it was supposed to be airing on. After a couple of weeks of not hearing the ad myself, I contacted Mike Johnson, the Program Director from Clear Media. He told me he would have Cameron contact me. Of course that never happened. Having still not heard the ad, I contacted the radio station and talked to the marketing person. As soon as I said the name Cameron, he knew what had happened. He said this was happening all over our city. He even sent me articles from other cities that have been having problems with Clear Media Accounting. They always use a different non-profit organization as their way of getting people to buy ads. I have since done some research and have found out that all the names at Clear Media Accounting are the same person. Including the "lawyer" that will contact you and demand payment. Granted, I should have done my research before giving them any money, but it sounded so legit. Bottom line, it's a scam. Don't fall for it. They apparently have several complaints against them and from what I can tell there are some lawsuits pending as well. I am filing a civil claim against them in my local municipal court for a refund.
